Terms of sale
These terms apply when a consumer books or pays online for workshop services from Oppsal Bilservice | Oslo Bilelektriske. Mandatory consumer rights under Norwegian law also apply and take precedence if these terms provide less protection.
1. The parties
The seller is OPPSAL BILSERVICE & OSLO BILELEKTRISKE AS, organisation number 946 064 556, Gladengveien 16, 0661 Oslo, Norway. Phone: +47 22 08 85 00. Email: service@oppsalbil.no. The buyer is the person making the booking.
2. Booking and agreement
A booking request is not a final agreement until the workshop confirms the time, scope and price or pricing basis. The buyer must provide correct contact and vehicle information. Changes and necessary additional work are agreed with the buyer before work continues, subject to the exceptions in Norway's Craft Services Act.
3. Price
Current prices and starting prices are shown on the website and include VAT. The confirmed booking or quotation states what is included. A starting price may change once the vehicle, parts, diagnostics or actual scope is known. Statutory rules apply to price estimates and additional work.
4. Payment
Payment is made using the method shown at checkout, such as Vipps or payment card, or as otherwise expressly agreed. The amount and method are shown before approval. Payment is processed by the relevant payment provider and a receipt or confirmation is provided electronically. Unless prepayment is agreed, payment is due when the agreed work has been completed and the workshop requests payment.
5. Delivery and appointment
The service is provided at Gladengveien 16 at the confirmed time. A stated completion time is an estimate unless a fixed deadline is expressly agreed. The workshop will notify the buyer of material delays or changes. The buyer must deliver the car and keys on time and collect the car when completion and collection have been confirmed.
6. Collection outside opening hours
Dropping off the key in the key box is free of charge around the clock. Collection 24/7 via Sharebox costs NOK 200 incl. VAT, but is free of charge with prepayment. The fee is charged in addition to the price of the workshop service and is stated in the booking.
Collection outside opening hours must be confirmed by the workshop. Collection takes place only once payment has been registered and the car has been reported ready. The buyer then receives a personal code or a collection message.
7. Collection and parking
The workshop has limited parking. The car must therefore be collected the same day it is reported ready, unless otherwise agreed. The buyer receives a collection message when the car is ready, and the collection deadline runs from that message.
Parking beyond the agreed collection time costs NOK 295 incl. VAT per day or part thereof. The fee is charged in addition to the price of the workshop service.
8. Cancellation and right of withdrawal
An unconfirmed request may be withdrawn free of charge. Contact the workshop as early as possible to cancel a confirmed appointment.
For a binding consumer contract concluded exclusively online or through other distance selling, the buyer generally has a 14-day right of withdrawal. Send a clear notice to service@oppsalbil.no. The buyer may also use the statutory withdrawal form supplied with the contract confirmation.
If the buyer expressly asks for work to start before the withdrawal period ends, the buyer must pay a proportionate amount for work and materials delivered before notice is received. The right is lost for a fully completed service when work began with express prior consent and the buyer acknowledged that the right would be lost on full performance. Other statutory exceptions apply where relevant.
9. Returns and refunds
A completed workshop service cannot be returned like an unused product. Following a valid withdrawal, further work stops. Any amount due for repayment is refunded to the same payment method without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notice is received, less any lawful charge for work and materials already delivered. Fitted or specially ordered parts are handled according to what is practicable, the agreement and applicable law.
10. Complaints
Contact the workshop within a reasonable time after a defect was or should have been discovered. Email service@oppsalbil.no or call +47 22 08 85 00, stating the name, vehicle registration, service date and the problem. The statutory final complaint period is normally two years, or five years when the result is intended to last substantially longer in normal use.
The workshop must be allowed to inspect and, where the statutory conditions are met, remedy the defect within a reasonable time and at no cost. Other statutory remedies remain available.
11. Dispute resolution
Complaints should first be submitted to the workshop. If the parties do not agree, a consumer may request mediation from the Norwegian Consumer Authority. The Consumer Complaints Board may hear the case where its conditions are met. Norwegian law applies.
12. Privacy and changes
Personal data processing is described in our privacy policy. The terms may be updated; the version in effect when the agreement was entered into applies to that booking. Last updated 27 August 2026.
