Privacy policy
This policy explains how Oppsal Bilservice | Oslo Bilelektriske processes personal data when you use the website, send a request or chat with the digital assistant. Enquiries sent from the software page are handled by Koblingsverket and are described in a separate section below.
Data controller
The data controller is OPPSAL BILSERVICE & OSLO BILELEKTRISKE AS, Gladengveien 16, 0661 Oslo. Telephone: 22 08 85 00. Email: service@oppsalbil.no.
What information we collect
Depending on what you submit, we may process:
- Name and telephone number
- Registration number or VIN
- Description of the car, symptoms and the requested service
- Organisation number, company name and invoice reference for business bookings
- Technical logs necessary for the secure operation of the website and chat
You should not send sensitive personal data in the chat or in free-text fields.
Why we process the information
The information is used to:
- receive and follow up appointment requests and price quotes
- identify the car and prepare the workshop job
- contact you about timing, price, approval of additional work and collection
- invoice business customers where relevant
The processing takes place to fulfil an agreement or a request for an agreement, and for our legitimate interest in running the workshop safely and efficiently.
How long the information is stored
Information relating to requests and workshop jobs is stored for as long as necessary for follow-up, documentation of the work and statutory accounting and complaint-handling obligations. Chat and enquiry data that does not become an active job is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed for follow-up.
Who the information may be shared with
The information may be shared with:
- workshop staff who need it to handle your case
- suppliers of systems for the website, chat, email and workshop operations (data processors)
- insurance companies, leasing companies or partners when you have asked us to
- public authorities where required by law
We do not sell personal data.
Maps and cookies
Google Maps does not load automatically. If you choose “Load Google Map”, your browser connects to Google, which may receive your IP address and technical browser data and use its own cookies. You can use the regular directions link without loading the embedded map.
Chat and digital assistant
The digital assistant helps with common questions and collects the information needed for your request. A member of staff always confirms appointments, prices and professional assessments. Chat content is processed to follow up your enquiry and to keep the service running safely. Do not share BankID details, passwords or other sensitive data in the chat.
Job applications
If you send an application through Work with us, we process your name, email address, any phone number, the position you are applying for, your application text and the files you upload (CV and any application document). The information is used only to consider you for a position with us, and the processing is based on the consent you give in the form.
The application is sent as an internal email notification to our own recruitment mailbox (work@oppsalbil.no) and is not shared with anyone else. We keep the application for up to one year so that we can get in touch if a suitable position becomes available, and then delete it. You may withdraw your consent and ask us to delete the application at any time by contacting us.
Software enquiries (Koblingsverket)
The form on the software page is not a workshop request. For the information you send there, CBS Media AS, org. no. 922 953 910, Manglerudveien 74, 0678 Oslo, is the data controller. The company operates Koblingsverket. Contact: hei@koblingsverket.no.
The form collects:
- business name, industry, number of employees and the systems you use today
- the needs you tick, and what you write about your biggest time-waster
- budget level, if you give one
- name, telephone number, email address and any free text
The information is used only to assess and answer your enquiry. The legal basis is the consent you give in the form, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing the address above.
The enquiry is sent by email through Oppsal Bilservice's email setup. Until Koblingsverket's own mailbox is in use, it is also received and read in a mailbox at Oppsal Bilservice, on behalf of Koblingsverket. The website and the receiving function are hosted at Vercel. Your email address is used only as a reply address. No automatic email or SMS is sent to you. A person reads the enquiry and decides whether and how you are contacted.
The enquiry is kept for as long as it is needed to follow it up, and is deleted no later than 12 months after the last contact if it does not become a customer relationship. For access, rectification or erasure, contact hei@koblingsverket.no or service@oppsalbil.no. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing where the law gives you the right to do so.
Send your request to service@oppsalbil.no or call 22 08 85 00. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
